Give your applications a home
Get to know Pods and Nodes through the city structures. See where applications run and how resources fit into a cluster.
Learn Kubernetes through play
A strategy adventure where you learn Kubernetes by rebuilding Orion.
Build Pods, connect Services, and figure out what broke when the lights go out.
Eight-mission demo · Mac · No Kubernetes experience needed
There are people out there. Waiting for the lights to return.
Your mission
Orion’s systems have gone quiet. Your first job is to get them working again.
Place the infrastructure. Bring applications online. Connect them to the people who need them. As the city grows, learn to read its signals and work out your next move.
It starts with one connectionInside the game
More applications need room to run. Add capacity, inspect your Pods, and get the system working again.
Every fix starts with understanding what the city is telling you.

Inside the command room
Beyond the city lights, a network is waiting to be understood. Take your place at the console.
Discover what you will learnLearn it by making it work.
Learn by doing: build, see what happens, and try again. A concept that was just a word becomes a structure in your city and a decision you understand.
What you will discover
Get to know Pods and Nodes through the city structures. See where applications run and how resources fit into a cluster.
Add replicas through Deployments and connect the city through Services. Link what you build to what your users actually receive.
Investigate demand and failures, read the system state, and choose a fix. Feedback from the city helps you understand why an attempt did not work, too.
Start with buttons and guided explanations. Discover the commands behind your actions and progress to independent practice in the game simulation.
Read the feedback, ask for a hint, or try a different fix. The missions give you room to understand what happened before you move on.
Concepts and commands are taught inside the game simulation. The website interaction is a short illustration; the game is where you build, practice, and solve the missions.
Beneath the surface
A closer look at the connections beneath Orion.
Meet your cluster
Steel. Light. Living systems.
The world you will build, one Pod at a time.
A core inside a shell. Pods run the applications that keep Orion working.

Build your first cluster. Make the first connections. Get to know Orion.
The demo is where your story begins.
Before you arrive
Each mission connects a concept to an action and a visible result in the city. Start with guided building, discover the commands, then practice diagnosis and repair independently. Explanations and hints are available along the way.
The game starts with guided building and simple actions. Concepts and commands are introduced gradually, with explanations and practice inside the world.
The first eight missions, story moments along the way, and a closing film. You can start again after finishing. The demo has its own installation and saves, separate from the full game.
The current demo is built for Mac. Support for other platforms and full system requirements will be shared once verified.
The videos are in-game cinematics. This site's interactive illustration introduces the idea of restoration. In the game, you build and manage the city from a strategic viewpoint.
